I have a different slant on housing needs. Before transitioning to a career in real estate, I worked for 10 years in the Tennessee Housing and Development Agency. That experience greatly enriches my understanding of the needs and the desires that are at the core of real estate decisions and I work to educate my clients on the process, bringing them and their dreams to fruition in a new home.
I’m from Chicago and I was a co-owner of a Coldwell Banker franchise in Tennessee before moving to Tucson in 2005. The warm and dry weather and the beauty of the desert and mountains drew me in and I love to go junking at thrift and antique stores. I love to crochet and create one-of-a-kind shawls, afghans, coats, etc. I also love memorabilia from the depression era as well as 40s and 50s. I have a huge and interesting collection.
In real estate, my proudest moments come from the satisfaction I see in clients. Their happiness is the most important thing to me and I love to get reviews like this: “Carol was there for us any time of the day or night. She worked so hard on making sure we found our dream house and worked ever so hard when it came time to sell. She became a very good friend to me. Not knowing anyone in Tucson, she took me under her wing. You could say she rescued me.”
Empathy for others and making people – all people! – feel important is a must in this business. I love customer service and interacting with people and my experience at the Tennessee Housing and Development Agency was a huge catalyst to begin in real estate. Experience matters. It makes all the difference.
